Paelon Memorial Hospital is a multi-specialist boutique hospital established in April 2010. We are located at 1221 Ahmadu Bello Way in the high-brow neighborhood of Victoria Island, Lagos, and have two other branches located at 9, Ajao Street in Ikeja, Lagos and Paelon Memorial Clinic 175b Moshood Olugbani St, Victoria Island, Lagos. The hospital was set up in memory of PAtricia ELozie ONyia (PAELON), the 3rd and last child of the current Managing Director & Founding Partner, Dr. Ngozi Onyia.
We are a guideline and protocol driven hospital and as a result provide evidence based, patient centred primary, secondary and tertiary health care services of the highest standard with integrity and are often sought out for honest, professional second opinions.
We have a wide range of clientele including corporates, health insurance and out of pocket payers and a significant population of expatriate clients (a sign of quality locally) and are listed as service providers by the embassies of the United States of America, the Netherlands and the Canadian High Commission amongst others.

WHY PAELON?
At Paelon we have 9 in-house seasoned and experieced consultants in 6 specialites (one of the highest consultant to patient ratios in Lagos) and over 20 seasoned and experienced consultants in over 15 different specialties that work with our team to ensure that our patients get the best possible outcome as quickly as possible.
We have 2 standard operating theatres equipped with a laparoscopic stack for minimally invasive surgery, a C-Arm & and operating microscope amongst other modern operation equipment.
It is manned by experieced surgeons & peri-operative nurses.
Our ICU is capable of multiple organ support with our ventiliators and a dialysis machine. It is manned by and experiecned intensivist, and intesive care nurses.
A PillCam or Capsule endoscopy is a revolutionary technology designed to examine the the entire gastro-intestinal tract. The test is non-invasive; it involves swallowing a camera capsule (the size of a jelly bean) that takes multiple digital photos of the entire gastro-intestinal tract including the small bowel (this is the only equipment through which you can see the small bowel)
At Paelon, we have the only PillCam in Lagos.
We have 2 modern abulances and a transport ventilator that can support and transport our patients to our 2 bedded Emergency Room.
Our paramedics and accident & emergency nurses are always ready to move.
Patient advocay is one of the pillers of our hospital, and we take it very seriously. At Paelon we strive to ensure that services, policies, and regulations focus on meeting our patients’ needs while keeping them safe.
All our wards are equipped with piped oxygen produced on site from our oxygen plant, modern hospital beds and comfortable facilities to ensure that our patients stay safe & comfrotable as they get well.
At Paelon we understand that the future is green and we work hard to ensure that we are part of that future. We are building a strong ESG policy and we have started our journey to certifiying our head office an IFC EDGE Compliant Zero Carbon building.

Yes you can! We offer a wide range of bespoke health assessments and have a team that is dedicated to ensuring you receive an accurate and detailed report.
Because writing these reports is a service we provide, and every service is rendered at a cost. However as with every other service we provide at Paelon, we provide it at the highest quality.
Because in line with global best practice certain tests must be requested by a doctor (just the way some drugs have to be prescribed to be bought). However some tests (like a pregnancy test) can be done without seeing a doctor.

In our Ikeja branch we run an outpatient clinic from 9am – 5pm on Mondays – Fridays it is closed on Saturdays & Sundays
